The pitch in three sentences
Lernanto teaches the core vocabulary of the 24 official EU languages (plus Esperanto, Icelandic and Norwegian), from any language to any other, through spaced repetition with automatic grading. It is paid once per language, for life, no subscription, and collects strictly no data: no account, no server, not even usage statistics. All wrapped in an unapologetic pixel-art look, built solo by a father under a French SASU.
The angles
- The anti-Duolingo. No subscription, no streak to protect, no guilt-tripping notifications, no dark patterns: one purchase, a finite goal (~2,500 words), and an app that leaves its users alone.
- Total zero-data. The stores' privacy label is literally empty. No analytics, no server. Rare enough to be verifiable in two clicks.
- 27 European languages, both directions. A Latvian can learn Portuguese, a Maltese speaker Finnish: pairs nobody else serves.
- Esperanto free forever. In an app whose very name is an Esperanto word.
